Amazing Birthday: display board

Hello peeps!  I have another display board project for you today.  I am so glad that we received the Amazing Birthday stamp set during convention--it's great for so many more occasions than just birthdays.  It's one that I probably wouldn't have bought myself...until I saw all the great projects made with it.  Can you relate?  :-)  Hopefully today's project will inspire you too!
My goal with most of the display projects was to try to feature the stamp set in different ways.  I had made several cards already with this set and most were pretty and girlie.  :-)  With this one, I tried to go more gender neutral and, surprisingly, it was the colors in the Flower Pot DSP that turned up on this card:  Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, Tangerine Tango, Garden Green and Crumb Cake.  When I'm stumped for color combinations, I just look through my stash of designer paper for inspiration.  The background was embossed with the Alphabet folder that had been inked up with Crushed Curry ink.  The result is a faux letterpress look that really makes the design stand out.
It's really fun to stamp this image in different colors, cut apart the words and piece them together into a colorful jigsaw puzzle!  The birthday cake is easy-peasy to cut out because it fits perfectly inside the 1.25" circle punch!  I hope you enjoyed my Amazing Birthday card...be sure to keep coming back coz there's still lots of samples to show you!  Also, check out the amazing work of the other Display Stampers on our Pinterest board---these ladies rocked the boards!!

This is such a fun card! I just want to sit and examine all of the fun details. I always struggle with guy cards and tend to default to CAS, but you've managed to add great layers and still keep it manly. That's because you're a superstar stamper!

I'm just scrolling through some of your posts, Nance, and really enjoy seeing what you displayed at convention. Especially because I wasn't there (sniff, sniff)! LOVE this card, and every card you make with this stamp set makes me want it even more. It's going on my next order! Oh, you little enabler! Hugs :)
