Clean-and-Simple Feathers of Thanks {PP222}

Hiya friends! Welcome to another week with The Paper Players where the always-amazing-Ann is our hostess for a "Clean-and-Simple Thank You" challenge :

So close to Thanksgiving, I decided to interpret the challenge with an invitation of thanks:
I started out with a blank piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and had the idea to leave a scored section for the sentiment.  First, I stamped all the images from the Four Feathers stamp set in Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow.  These colors are so pretty together--love the pop of deep purple from the Blackberry Bliss.
I scored a section for the sentiment but decided it needed a little more pizzazz....so I stamped the sentiment on a strip of vanilla and framed it with some Gold Foil paper.  Ah, much better.  Getting a little bit further and further away from "clean-and-simple", oh well!
I had already stamped the line and spot images from Gorgeous Grunge in Sahara Sand and I loved it but....  with the Gold Foil paper framing the sentiment, I needed to coordinate some gold somewhere so....   I highlighted the speckles by stamping some more in Versamark ink and embossing in gold.  Really like the way this looks!
I did say this was an invitation, right?  :-)  We were lucky enough to receive the Holiday Invitation stamp set at convention and this was the first time I inked it up!  I probably would not have purchased it for myself but now that I have it, I love it!   This was a pretty quick and easy card to make, in fact I made 5 of them in about an hour!  Perfect for a holiday celebration whether on Thanksgiving or during the Thanksgiving weekend.

I hope you will pop over and check out the other designers at The Paper Players.  Such a great group we have!  If you would like to join in the fun, we would love to see your project in the gallery before the challenge closes on Friday, November 21st at Noon (PST).  Thanks for stopping by today, friends!

Love today's card Nance - the use of the two Gorgeous Grunge stamps along with the feathers adds just the right amount of detail without affecting the overall CAS feel. The touches of gold are great alongside your chosen colours too.

Nance, the scoring around the sentiment is a great idea. It really makes it pop from the page without adding any bulk. I love the feathers on the outside and the colors work so well together. Gorgeous!
